ARFF’s 15th Anniversary
Gala Celebration Was A Huge Success!
With
the help of celebrity guest of honor Pamela Anderson and surprise
guest Tommy Lee, ARFF’s 15th Anniversary Gala exceeded expectations.
The money raised will be used to fund ARFF’s Mobile Clinic,
thus sparing countless animals from unnecessary suffering and
eventual euthanasia.
A
guitar signed and donated by Crosby, Stills, and Nash brought
a winning bid of $10,000.00. Another bidder spent $5,000.00 to
walk away with two tickets to Saturday Night Live and an aftershow
cast party. Other popular items included weekend getaways, jewelry,
artwork, and spa treatments.
Over 400 guests from throughout Florida enjoyed a completely vegetarian
(vegan) dinner inspired by the culinary team of Sublime World
Vegetarian Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Guest speakers included
Peta President Ingrid Newkirk and Dr. Neal Barnard, founder of
the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Comic
Kevin Nealon, the Price is Right’s Bob Barker, artist Peter
Max and U.S. Congressmen Deutch and Wexler all appeared by video
to congratulate ARFF on 15 years of victories for the animals.
Overall, the evening was a huge success for the animals. Thank
you to everyone for your generosity and overwhelming show of support!
