The owls of Florida

Photo: Eric Strachan / Daily NewsA feature in Thursday’s Naples Daily News taught us a little about owls that make Florida home- from the small Burrowing owl or Eastern screech owl, to the Great horned owl (Florida’s largest owl).

Did you know that owls can’t move their eyes? This is why they have to turn their heads almost all the way around (actually, they can move as much as 270 degrees around).
