Shocking cruelty at Florida lab’s parent organization
September 17th, 2014 by admin

The Max Planck Society is a research organization with institutes in cities across Germany. In 2012, Max Planck opened a laboratory in Jupiter, Florida, it’s first research facility in the United States.
Last week, the findings of an undercover investigation at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany were revealed. The investigation, by the BUAV and the German animal rights group Soko Tierschutz, exposed cruel experiments in which monkeys were subjected to severe water deprivation, physical coercion and restraint. The hidden camera footage of bloodied and obviously suffering monkeys is shocking and hard to watch (Warning: graphic content): http://youtu.be/xrx5L7Mb5sc
For its part, Max Planck said that the footage was “unlawfully recorded” and “taken out of context,” but they promised to investigate.
