Plane crash injures two . . . squirrels

Our hats are off to the compassionate individual(s) who rescued two squirrels following a plane crash last week in Fort Lauderdale.
On Wednesday, a small plane crashed near the Fort Lauderdale airport. After the plane’s pilot and passengers walked away from the crash, and the fire was put out, someone discovered two squirrels who had been injured in the crash. The unlucky animals were taken to Fort Lauderdale’s SPCA Wildlife Care Center, where they are receiving care for burns and broken bones. They are expected to recover.
