Vegans can help scouts get their cookie patch
January 18th, 2008 by admin
Girl Scout cookies went on sale this week in Florida, and depending on where you live you may be able to grab some vegan treats.
Girl Scouts councils purchase cookies from one of two official bakers. One of these bakers offers three vegan varieties (vegan cookies are available in Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, but unfortunately not in Broward or Miami-Dade).
Sorry, Thin Mints are not vegan. But Cinna-Spins (crispy cinnamon swirls), Lemonades (shortbread cookies with a tangy lemon icing) and Thanks-A-Lot (cookie with a layer of fudge) are vegan*.
