Crane game controversy

Today’s AOL homepage features a story about the “most heated food debates in America.” Among the “most controversial restaurant dishes” are lion meat (on the menu for a brief time last year at a Tampa area restaurant), marlin and bluefin tuna (fish whose numbers in the wild have declined dramatically), shark fin soup, foie gras and a cruel contraption in which restaurant patrons use a mechanical claw to catch live lobsters (there is a growing body of scientific evidence showing that lobsters feel, and remember, pain and stress). The article highlights ARFF’s protests of the crane game at a Royal Palm Beach restaurant in May. Click here to read the article, and to submit comments.
