Monday’s Naples Daily News featured a story about a Florida Gulf Coast University study of the health of Southwest Florida’s ecosystem, and in particular, its frogs. Their study found that, “most of the area’s native frogs are in decline, likely because of development.” Too many wetlands, where frogs thrive, are being destroyed.
The Naples News website allows visitors to download audio clips of frogs commonly found in Southwest Florida, including the Barking Tree Frog, Little Grass Frog, Pig Frog, Southern Cricket Frog and eight more unique frogs. To listen, click here, then scroll down to the middle of the page.
