6 bedrooms, 7 baths and 55 puppies in the laundry room

Last week, a Broward County judge ruled that puppy dealers Jim and Gilda Anderson had violated Florida’s pet lemon law and the terms of a lawsuit settlement. Read our previous post about the Anderson’s below. The judge has not yet decided what fines and other penalties the Anderson’s will face.
In court, the Anderson’s stated that they currently have 55 puppies in the garage and laundry room of their home in Davie. We were curious about what the house might look like with that many dogs inside, so we did a little digging and were surprised to discover that the Anderson’s live in a 7,000+ sq. ft. house with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, a game room and home theater. The Anderson’s have listed the house for sale for $1,999,999. The real estate listing features photos of the pool and game room, but not the garage or laundry room!
Despite living in a mansion, the puppy-selling business may not be as profitable as it once was. According to the Broward County Property Appraiser, the Anderson’s haven’t paid their 2009 taxes yet (they owe $30,219). The Anderson’s are due back in court next week.
