Fashion disaster

ARFF is an animal rights group, not the fashion police, but even we know that wearing a fur coat outside on a 90 degree day in June is a bad idea-even if you didn’t care about the suffering of animals in fur farms.
This morning on the grounds of the Westin Diplomat Resort a group of Miss Florida USA contestants modeled fur coats-courtesy of pageant sponsor, the Fur Information Council of America.
We feel sorry for the young women who were coaxed into modeling the coats. The pageant has uploaded photos from this morning’s shoot onto their Flickr page. Mark your calendars and plan to join us in Davie on Saturday, July 10 outside the Miss Florida USA pageant for a protest against the cruelty of fur.
And if you haven’t already done so, please contact pageant organizer Grant Gravitt and ask him not to include fur in future pageants.
