Hampton Inn welcomes the rodeo?!
November 11th, 2010 by admin
Hampton Inn is a good hotel chain for budget-minded travelers. The rooms are clean, and the free breakfast usually has something for vegan guests (fruit, bagels or oatmeal). But we’re beginning to think that it might be wise for travelers to avoid Hampton Inn in South Florida.
Earlier this year, Hampton Inn in Plantation was declared the “Official Host Hotel” of the Davie Pro Rodeo. The hotel offers a special rodeo rate. This weekend, there will be a rodeo at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The Hampton Inn in West Palm Beach is also offering special rodeo rates.
Rodeo is a form of entertainment grounded in violence. Steer-wrestling, calf-roping and other rodeo events display and encourage brutal treatment of animals and insensitivity to their suffering.
Please contact the following Hampton Inn hotels and urge them to reconsider their support of this cruel and exploitive event.

Most Hampton hotels are independently owned and operated by franchisees, but please send a copy of your e-mails to the corporate headquarters. Let them know that the support of rodeo by Hampton Inn hotels in South Florida is likely to offend customers concerned about the welfare of animals.

Dear Sir or Madam: I do not quite understand how you can possibly support rodeos. As an animal lover, I will make sure to stay somewhere else as long as you insist supporting such cruelty.
Best regards,
