On Friday a judge in Santa Rosa County sentenced a notorious dogfighter to 15 years in state prison. The sentence is the toughest that we can remember in an animal cruelty case in Florida.

Raymond Eugene Teamer was found guilty of training or baiting animals for fighting. In November 2007 he was arrested and charged with 35 felony counts, one count for each dog found after a raid on his home in Milton. Click here to read our earlier post about the case.

Please contact the State Attorney’s Office and thank them for their excellent work in prosecuting this case.

Another great way to thank the Judge, the State Attorney’s Office and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office for taking this case seriously would be to write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper.
