4-star hotel’s reputation tarnished by fur “fashion” shoot
September 21st, 2010 by admin
On Saturday, Miss Florida Teen USA contestants gathered at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood to model for photos and video that will air during the pageant on October 3. Contestants modeled evening gowns, swim suits, and furs (Fur Information Council of America is a sponsor of the pageant).
The furs that the contestants had to wear were not exactly fashion-forward. Click here to see a photo of one contestant who was stuck with a purple fur wrap that looks like a bath mat. Of course, coloring a fur purple or red does little to disguise the fact that animals suffered and died to make it.
Please contact the Weston Diplomat’s PR director and politely explain that hosting a fashion shoot featuring dead animals is not good for the hotel’s reputation. Contact:

ARFF will hold a protest against the cruel fur industry during the Miss Florida Teen USA finals on Sunday, October 3 at Broward College’s Bailey Concert Hall in Davie. Click here for details.
